We are honoured to have worked on the largest Stupa in Europe. This project offered several challenges due to its size and location. Being deep within the city of Birmingham meant that we had to consider how we constructed the Stupa and its effects on the immediate area. 

For instance, we had to build from the outside inwards - the reverse of normal practice - so that when the form insulation was sprayed onto the structure, it didn't contaminate the area surrounding the project. 

Also because this design was too large to construct in the usual way, we designed a system of jointed panels which provided a strong and weather-tight structure.

This was a replica of a similar Stupa in Sri Lanka and our clients were very pleased with the outcome.
